Exercise 1 Window Sharepoint Service standard Practice 1 Install sharepoint service 3.0 Installation packaged at: \\g2-svr\training\MS-Technology\SharePoint\Software\SPS2007 Practice 2 – Create & configure your Application Step 1: Run sharepoint central admin site.
Step 2. Click “Application management” -> Step 3. Click “Create or extend Web application”
Step 4: Click Create a new Web application Click Learn about creating or extending Web applications. to know how to input
data on this screen for new sharepoint web application Step 6: View web application and extend it. Click Create or extend Web application
Click Extend an existing Web application Click Learn about creating or extending Web applications. to know how to input
data on this screen for new sharepoint web application Practice 3 – Create & configure your Sites Step 1: Create site collection (top site) Click on Create site collection
For the detail information on input data click help icon click Creating and managing Web applications and sites > Creating and managing sites > Create sites and subsites Step 2: Create sub site Open site collection created in step 1
Click Site Action -> Create Click Sites and workspaces
Click on help icon and then Creating sites, lists, and libraries > Creating sites > Create a site to get the help for this screen
Practice 4 – Create & customize list Step 1: Create List Open site collection or sub site created above Click on Site action > Create
Select type of list you want to create. We suggest you try to create one for each type to see how they work. Or you can create your own list and then customize it. Input List name and description in the screen below.
Step 2: Add column to list Open list you created
Click List settings
Click Create column then Input column info. Practice 4 – Create & customize Views Step 1: Open list you create above
Click on Create view. Select style of view Select column to display, column order, sort column, filter, group by ... for view
Step 2: Open your view Click your view name
Practice 5 – Create web part page Step 1: Create web part page Click Create Click web part page Input page name and the page layout.
sharepoint open the edit mode of this page For this layout there are 5 web part zone in web page and we can add web
part to these web part zone. Click on add a web part button. Select web part you want to add to the web part zone. then click add button.
Click edit -> Modify web part to customize the web part layout.
