SUMMARY ""^<br />
The magnetic activated carbon particles were synthesized by modifying the activated carbon with<br />
iron oxide and cfiaracterized by analyzing the quantitative ofFe(II) and Fe(III) in material. The magnetic<br />
field effect in the separation using a magnet was also verified. The equilibrium adsorption isotherm of<br />
crystal violet was investigated and the maximum exchange capacity of the material was also determined.<br />
The magnetic activated carbon particles were suitable for removal of water soluble organic dye.<br />
