  1. [ Team LiB ] What Are Styles? A print style is a combination of paper and page settings that controls the way items print. Outlook comes with some built-in print styles, which you can customize to create additional styles. You can print individual items or a list of all items in the folder. For example, you can print the details of an individual appointment or you can print a list of appointments in the Calendar folder. Each item or list uses a print style that controls the layout, font style and size, and other formatting options. You can control how an item or view is printed by modifying a print style to create your own custom print styles. All Outlook items use two basic print styles and all custom styles you create use one of these styles as the underlying format. The two styles are • Table Style— Prints Outlook items in a table format similar to the table style view you're familiar with in Outlook folders. • Memo Style— Used when you need to print out an Outlook item on a single sheet of paper—one Outlook item per sheet. Calendar and contacts have additional print styles, which are similar to layouts used in day planners. In addition to Memo and Table Style, the following print styles are available for calendar items when you use a Day/Week/Month view: • Daily Style— Prints your appointments in a daily appointment-style list, similar to the 1 day view available in Outlook and used in day planners. • Weekly Style— Prints your calendar using a weekly format, similar to the weekly format Outlook uses onscreen. • Monthly Style— Creates a printout of your calendar in a monthly style, similar to the monthly style used onscreen. • Tri-fold Style— Prints a trifold calendar. By default it contains appointments for a specific date, along with your tasks or a blank area for handwritten notes and a weekly calendar. The content of each section is configurable. • Calendar Details Style— Prints your appointments grouped by date. The printout includes appointment details. When you use an Address Card view, the following additional styles are available for printing Contact items:
  2. • Card Style— Prints your contacts using the same fields that are visible in the Address Card view. • Booklet Style— Available in small or medium booklets. Use this style to print your contacts in a convenient address book you can carry with you. Use this style to print on both sides of a sheet of paper that folds into a booklet. • Phone Directory Style— Prints your contacts in an alphabetical list, such as you'll find in commercial phone books. The availability of print styles is dependent on the view used on each folder. When you use a table view, Memo and Table Style printing are available. When you use an icon or timeline view, only Memo Style printing is an option. The additional print styles for calendar and contacts are present only when you use Day/Week/Month view or Address Card view. If you don't have these additional print styles listed when you choose File, Page Setup, change the view on the folder. Information about the styles used in Outlook is stored in a file called OutPrnt, located in C:\Documents and Settings\username\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook. All of your Outlook profiles will use the same OutPrnt file and, as a result, use the same print styles, including custom styles. Printing errors in Outlook are corrected by deleting or renaming the OutPrnt file. Outlook creates a new OutPrnt the next time it runs, but you lose any custom settings or styles. [ Team LiB ]
