A major challenge for outdoor uses of methylammonium lead halide (MAPbX3) solar cells is the poor durability of the perovskite film under humidity. This instability is due to limitations of the dipping or spin coating process in producing MAPbX3 films through a direct reaction between PbI2 and methylammonium iodide (MAI) in an organic solvent. Visual question answering is a task that requires computers to give correct answers for the input questions based on the images. This task can be solved by humans with ease, but it is a challenge for computers. The VLSP2022-EVJVQA shared task carries the Visual question answering task in the multilingual domain on a newly released dataset UIT-EVJVQA, in which the questions and answers are written in three different languages: English, Vietnamese, and Japanese.

This work demonstrated the potential of US for mitigating membrane fouling. However, the integration of the US transducers within the membrane system will be a major challenge for the application of US in membrane cleaning. It is more appropriate that US is used as pre-treatment to the membrane system, the transducers can be placed prior to the coagulant feed line. Further work on the determination of the detailed mechanisms associated with enhancing coagulation would enable optimisation of the system with regard to process, cost and energy efficiency.

Magnetic bearing systems have received much attention in the research community for the past decades. Its inherent nonlinearity and open-loop instability present challenges for controller design. This thesis investigates and designs model predictive control (MPC) systems for an experimental Active Magnetic Bearing (AMB) laboratory system. A host-target development environment of real-time control system with hardware in the loop (HIL) is used for implementation of the predictive control systems. In this thesis, both continuous and discrete time model predictive controllers are studied.

In the course of current research the procedure of obtaining of the piecewise linear vibration systems time and frequency responses have been developed. The method is partly analytical and partly numerical and is based on combining of linear solutions of different sections in a cycle of motion. This thesis presents the design of a test asset system capable of testing GNSS receivers for speed accuracy and the Uncertainty of Measurements (UOM) analysis for this system. The test asset system utilises a variety of engineering solutions and is capable of maintaining high accuracy benchmarks in speed measurements. The test asset system has an UOM equal 0.4 km/h for the entire range of speeds used for GNSS speed testing. The system was designed, assembled and tested to ensure the system maintains its integrity and capability to test GNSS receivers for speed measurement.
