Classroom observation

The current study aimed to investigate the effectiveness of using "Baamboozle" in enhancing student participation in EMI classes at a public university in Vietnam. Specifically, this study was conducted over ten weeks and used research tools including a questionnaire survey of 50 students and classroom observation.

This article, as a result of research conducted during 8 weeks in the 2nd term (2023-2024), shows learners' improvement in vocabulary and expression, together with equivalence and using body language in interpretation practice. The method mainly relies on qualitative methods, including the teacher's classroom observation, note-taking, and learners' surveys.

The study applies a questionnaire, semi-structured interviews, classroom observations and teaching materials to collect data from seven teachers at Le Huu Trac (LHT) High School. The findings reveal that most teachers appreciate socio-cultural integrations (SCI) and agree that SCI does not prevent progress in terms of language accuracy.

The research project is a collaborative, action inquiry, case study that investigates the gendered and inclusive practices of a teacher, exploring gendered language and behaviour that is (or not) utilised within their teaching. The researcher and the participant teacher plan, conduct, observe, reflect and discuss the role of gender in the learning and teaching practices in a grade 3/4 classroom.
