The article presents the current status of technological innovation in underground coal mining of Dong Bac Corporation. The primary research subject is the semi-mechanized longwall face I-6-2 at Bac Quang Loi coal mine of Company 790, Dong Bac Corporation.

Studying, analyzing and evaluating the basic factors affecting the wear resistance of the shear cutting drum, such as coal strength, the geometry of the cutting teeth, materials of cutting teeth, the cutting angle. Cutting depth, cutting feed and cutting speed are the basis for selecting the appropriate factors in fabrication, using the cutting teeth of the shearer.

The PhD thesis studies the theoretical and practical issues of fixed asset accounting in coal mining enterprises of Vinacomin. In particular, the thesis focuses on studying the principles of measuring, recording, presenting and providing information on fixed assets as well as the method to collect, process, analyze and provide information in respond to requirements of fixed asset management. The thesis studies the application of these principles in the practice of fixed asset accounting in Vinacomin's coal mining enterprises.

The rapid economic growth in Vietnam has resulted in an increasing demand for electricity. This in turn translates to a higher rate of coal resource extraction and consequent rise in pollution of water and land resources. This study estimated the environmental costs associated with the electricity demand requirements of the coal electricity sector, as a component of the long-run marginal opportunity cost (LR-MOC) of electricity production.
