This article discusses an adaptive cruise control system aimed at monitoring the distance with the vehicle ahead. This system allows for the automatic control of the throttle by electronic control signals instead of manual pedal operation. In the research, a predictive control model (MPC) is utilized within the Matlab/Simulink software to simulate the control process of the research model.

This paper introduces a practical and simple power control method for wind energy conversion systems based on a doubly-fed induction generator. Due to the limitations of traditional proportional-integral controllers when the parameters of the doubly-fed induction generator and wind speed vary, fuzzy control theory is applied to overcome these challenges.

This paper improves the breadth-¯rst search strategy in directed automated random testing (DART) to generate a fewer number of test data while gaining higher branch coverage, namely Static DART or SDART for short. In addition, the paper extends the test data compilation mechanism in DART, which currently only supports the projects written in C, to generate test data for C++ projects.

The study determines the predominant hydrogeological controls on salinity distribution and salinization/freshening, proposing conceptual models to explain the different vertical distributions of groundwater salinity at the coastline. An improved understanding of the sources of salinity and the hydrogeological controls will subsequently provide support for the future management of groundwater in the Western Port Basin, and serve as a template for how to unravel complex salinity distributions in coastal aquifers, and their relationships to palaeo- and recent geomorphological histories.

The main focus of this thesis is on the application of a model predictive control (MPC) method to devise an ABS for a BBW vehicle. Unlike the traditional ABS control algorithms which are based on a trial and error method, the MPC based ABS algorithm aims to utilizes the behaviour of the model to optimize the wheel slip dynamics subject to system constraints. Performance of the proposed wheel slip controller is validated through Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) and Hardware-inthe-Loop (HiL) simulation.

In this thesis, focus on the wireless links between devices equipped by deployed operating personnel and intermediary access point infrastructure. We use multi-radio (MR) platforms, wireless devices with multiple and diverse transceiver technologies, to produce robust and reliable links through adaptive control of available transceivers. Primarily, we study the application of intelligent control techniques, namely reinforcement learning (RL), for adaptive control over diverse transceivers to achieve the desired robustness and reliability under dynamic environmental conditions.
