
Four skill in languages

This quantitative research aims to examine 75 EFL students’ perspectives of teacher creativity in teaching English speaking skills at the Faculty of Foreign Languages, Ho Chi Minh City University of Technology and Education. Using Kharkhurin’s (2014) conceptual framework of creativity, the paper focuses on four dimensions of teachers’ novelty, utility, aesthetics and authentic attributes in teaching English speaking skills.

The object of the research is 60 first-year non- English language major students at Thai Nguyen University of Sciences. The students were randomly divided into 2 groups (experimental group and control group), each group consisted of 30 students.

The reading comprehension skill is considered as one of the four fundamental language skills that an EFL learner must perform. Actually, it is not an easy skill since most of learners have many reading issues. The purpose of this present work is to investigate on these reading difficulties that grade 10 students at the Asian International Highschool face, and to identify their reading problems and the reasons behind their weaknesses in performing the reading task.
