  • The generation mean analysis involving six generations (P1, P2, F1, F2, B1 and B2) was carried out to study the nature and magnitude of gene effects for seventeen characters in okra. The study was conducted at Departmental Farm of Department of Agricultural Botany, College of Agriculture, VNMKV Parbhani during Kharif-17 season.

  • Genetic diversity among 28 sesame (Sesamum indicum L.) varieties was examined at DNA level by means of random amplified polymorphic DNA (RAPD) analysis. Fifteen primers used produced a total of 132 RAPD fragments. Each primer generated 3 to 26 amplified fragments with an average of 8.8 bands per primer. Based on pair-wise comparisons of RAPD amplification products, Nei and Li’s similarity coefficients were computed to assess the associations among the varieties. Pair-wise similarity indices varied from 0.35 to 0.84.

  • In the present study, analysis of geomorphometric characteristics of osman sagar and Himayat sagar catchment was carried out using remote sensing and GIS and the drainage networks of the both the catchment were generated using SRTM DEM (90 m resolutions). Two adjacent catchments, Himayath sagar and Osman sagar, located Rangareddy district of Telangana state, India were selected for study. Morphometric features and drainage network of Himayath sagar and Osman sagar catchments were extracted from DEM using ArcGIS software.

  • (BQ) This study was made only for the finish stages and has been carried out on the influence of five design factors: intensity supplied by the generator of the EDM machine (I), pulse time (ti), duty cycle (η), open-circuit voltage (U) and dielectric flushing pressure (P), over the two previously mentioned response variables. This has been done by means of the technique of design of experiments (DOE), which allows us to carry out the above-mentioned analysis performing a relatively small number of experiments.
