This introductory chapter provides an overview of the thesis. It is arranged in five main sections. First, the background to the study is briefly introduced, followed by the rationale explaining the reason why the study was conducted. The third section illustrates the objectives of the study while the fourth presents the research questions. The chapter continues with the scope of the study followed by the significance of doing this research. It ends by presenting the thesis structure.
