In mathematics, a conic section (or just conic) is a curve obtained as the intersection of a cone (more precisely, a right circular conical surface) with a plane. In this paper "Some new identities on the conic sections", we construct some new identities and proposed the concept of the power of a point with respect to a conic.

In this paper "Some new identities in combinatoric", the binomial numbers m n are very important in several applications and satisfy several number of identities. The purpose of this paper is to introduce a new combinatorial integer m,n j and obtain some algebraic identities by means of double combinatorial argument.

The information was simply copied and output in PDF and CHM formats for the FireBoard community. Minor formatting changes were made, but the content is virtually identical. Note: This is not new FireBoard official documentation. This is just a small step to help the people who are new to FireBoard and Joomlaboard during the transitional development period. Some documentation is better than no documentation. Having PDF and CHM is better than just online documentation. It is my understanding that the FireBoard Documentation Team will produce documentation when FireBoard is stable.

An oxidosqualene cyclase cDNA, LcIMS1, was isolated from cultured cells of Luffa cylindrica Roem. by heterologous hybridization with cDNA of Glycyrrhiza glabra b-amyrin synthase. Expression of LcIMS1 in yeast lacking endogenous oxidosqualene cyclase activity resulted in the accumulation of isomultiflorenol, a triterpene. This is consistent with LcIMS1 encoding isomultiflorenol synthase, an oxidosqualene cyclase involved in bryonolic acid biosynthesis in cultured Luffa cells.

AnN-acyl-D-amino acid amidohydrolase (N-D-AAase) was identified in cell extracts of a strain, Iso1, isolated from an environment containing N-acetyl-D-methionine. The bac-terium was classified as Variovorax paradoxusby phylo-genetic analysis. The gene was cloned and sequenced. The gene consisted of a 1467-bpORF encoding a polypeptide of 488 amino acids. TheV.

A new NADP(H)-dependent alcohol dehydrogenase (the YCR105Wgene product, ADHVII) has been identified in Saccharomyces cerevisiae. The enzyme has been purified to homogeneity and found to be a homodimer of 40 kDa subunits and a pI of 6.2–6.4. ADHVII shows a broad sub-strate specificity similar to the recently characterized ADHVI (64% identity), although they show some differ-ences in kinetic properties. ADHVI and ADHVII are the onlymembersof the cinnamyl alcohol dehydrogenase family inyeast. SimultaneousdeletionofADH6andADH7wasnot lethal for the yeast....

Using a degenerate primer designed from triterpene synthase sequences, we have isolated a new gene from the medicinal plantArtemisia annua. The predicted protein is highly similar to b-amyrin synthases (EC 5.4.99.–), sharing amino acid sequence identities of up to 86%.

A new family of cysteine protease inhibitors from the basidiomyceteMac-rolepiota procera has been identified and the family members have been termed macrocypins. These macrocypins are encoded by a family of genes that is divided into five groups with more than 90% within-group sequence identity and 75–86% between-group sequence identity.

[ Team LiB ] Understanding Information Rights Management New to Outlook 2003, Information Rights Management (IRM) enables you to secure a message, including any attachments, to prevent the recipient from printing, forwarding, or copying the message or attachment. The recipient can open the message only after she confirms her identity by logging on to her Passport account. Although there are similarities between digital signatures and IRM, they're two distinct methods you can use to secure your messages. You can digitally sign and encrypt IRM-protected messages.
