  • In this study, we propose to build an equivalent 2D model to replace the 3D model of corrugated composite sheets, by the method of homogenization, to study the nonlinear mechanical behavior of corrugated core composite sheets. This model helps to significantly reduce the calculation time as well as the model building time. The model homogeneity is confirmed by comparing the numerical simulation results of the 2D model and the 3D model.

  • This paper describes an investigation of fluid flow through two tandem circular cylinders using Lattice-Boltzmann Method in direct numerical simulation. The diameter ratio of two circular cylinders, D1/D2 varies from 0.5 to 1.5, and spacing ratio (L/D2) varies from 1.5 to 10, whereas the Reynolds number of 100 is considered. The numerical model is well validated by comparing the results with those obtained in the literature.

  • In addition, we also show that our present solutions are valid for the problems of indentation by a rigid punch on an elastic half-space through a proper replacement of the contact radius and the corresponding material constant. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the accuracy, applicability, and versatility of the developed solutions.

  • The present paper is focused on the impact of the dissolution mechanism of the different species (formed within a single bubble) on bubble chemistry. This process is analyzed on a range of ultrasound frequencies from 140 to 515 kHz, at an acoustic intensity of 1 W/cm². The obtained findings are compared to the results available in the literature.

  • In the course of current research the procedure of obtaining of the piecewise linear vibration systems time and frequency responses have been developed. The method is partly analytical and partly numerical and is based on combining of linear solutions of different sections in a cycle of motion. In a row with the method of obtaining of the exact steady state time and frequency response, also it is provided sensitivity analysis of the vibration isolator.

  • This thesis investigates the SPH capability available in the commercial Finite Element (FE) code LS-DYNA®, for water impact problems. Experiments have been conducted on rigid wedges impacting water, which were then simulated with the SPH method. Although certain limitations were experienced with the experimental results, a positive correlation was observed with the numerical technique, thus establishing SPH as a promising method for crashworthiness design.

  • This search resulted in the development of a practical software tool based on animated Venn diagrams (Dvenn) that attempted to exploit the inherent human ability to perceive quantities visually, a faculty described herein as visual numeracy. The exploitation of this faculty is considered here to be a valuable aid for group understanding of business presentation data. The development of the tool was an essential part of the research that was undertaken and the resulting software forms a significant portion of this practise based research.

  • In present paper "Equation of state and thermal expansion of metals with FCC structure: Application to Cu, Al and Ni", by the statistical moment method (SMM) we obtain the equation of state for metals with cubic structure at temperature 0 K and pressure P and from that obtain the expressions of lattice parameter and thermal expansion coefficient for these metals at temperature T and pressure P.

  • One-loop contributions to the decay process \(H \to Z*\gamma \to {v_e}{v_e} \gamma \) in standard model are performed in the paper "One-loop contributions to in standard model \(H \to Z*\gamma \to {v_e}{v_e} \gamma \)". The detailed computations are carried out in unitary gauge. In physical results, we present numerical results for partial decay width and its distribution. We find that the partial decay width is given to 0.466 KeV. This result is in the upper bound of the current experimental data at the Large Hadron Collider.

  • In this study, numerical simulations are conducted to mimic the instant and delayed seismic triggering observed after this event and evaluate resultant seismic cycle perturbations at adjacent faults and near İzmir, where amplified ground motions caused heavy damage. For this purpose, Coulomb static stress changes and seismic waveforms recorded by strong-motion stations are combined as static and dynamic triggers on a rate-and-state friction dependent quasi-dynamic spring slider model with shear-normal stress coupling.

  • This work presents results from a numerical investigation on the influence of fluid-structure interaction (FSI) on the dynamic response of thin steel plates subjected to blast loading. The loading was generated by a shock tube test facility designed to expose structures to blast-like loading conditions. The steel plates had an exposed area of 0.3 m × 0.3 m and experienced large deformations during the tests.

  • The formulae for the decay width and numerical results are obtained. We have calculated the conclusion of the one-loop vertex correction, wave-function correction and renormalization of the bare couplings to the decay width. We revealed that the effect of the complex parameters At and Ab could be quite significant in a large region of the MSSM parameter space.

  • The equations of state (EOS) of asymmetric nuclear matter (ANM) in an extended Nambu-Jona-Lasinio (ENJL) model was investigated by means of examining effective potential in one-loop approximation. Our numerical results show that isospin dependence of saturation density in our model is reasonably strong and critical temperature for liquid-gas phase transition decreases with increasing neutron excess.

Based on results obtained it was found that the cross sections depend strongly on the polarization factors of u− beams and are much larger than in axion production in ye- collision. In addition, some estimates for experimental conditions are derived from our results.
