Ontology integration

Ontology matching, a field within data management and information retrieval, utilizes machine learning to integrate and link different data sources by identifying equivalences and relationships between concepts across various ontologies. This report provides an overview of key techniques and methods in ontology matching, including vectorization and embeddings such as Word2Vec, similarity measure like Levenshtein Distance and Jaccard Index, and machine learning models that improve accuracy in classifying and matching concepts.

Research subjects of the thesis are ontology, inconsistent knowledge in ontologies and methods of processing inconsistent knowledge in ontologies. By analyzing research motivations, we address objectives of research for processing inconsistent in ontologies by the two tasks: querying andintegrating. In particularly, we restrict the objectives of research by three problems following: determine meaningful result for querying inconsistent ontology, resolving conflict of concept level in ontology integration, esolving conflict of axiom level in ontology integration.
