This study involved the deposition of NiO thin films onto Al2O3/glass substrates using RFmagnetron reactive sputtering. Then, the influence of heating temperatures on crystal structure, surface morphology, transmittance, and optical band gap of NiO films was investigated via different characterization techniques.

Pirochromite (MgCr2O4) nanoparticles were successfully prepared in this study. During synthesis of the pirochromite nanoparticles, a sol-gel was prepared by using magnesium acetate and potassium dichromate as magnesium and chromium sources and by using stearic acid as the network.
