Optical simulations

This paper presents a design study of a wavelengthrouted optical router based on flat waveguide components on the Silicon-on-Insulator (SOI) platform compatible with CMOS fabrication processes. The design incorporates Arrayed Waveguide Gratings (AWG), Bragg scattering gratings, and is assisted by resonant ring couplers.

In this work, we present a comprehensive optical simulation analysis of bulkheterojunction (BHJ) organic solar cells where PBDB-T:ITIC incorporated with PTB7:PC71BM blends served as photoactive layers. The simulations were performed using transfer matrix method implemented through a MATLAB script that is developed by McGehee’s research group at Stanford University.

Research and improve scheduling admission control mechanism to enhance QoS based on incoming burst rate prediction at core node to improve scheduling efficiency for low QoS bursts but still ensure a level of service quality for high QoS bursts. The effectiveness of the scheduling admission control mechanism was valued through simulation and mathematical analysis.

The main theme of the dissertation: The dissertation targets the basic research on the physical models and new structures; calculating and simulating the bistable devices using 1D, 2D PhC structures. The effects of the PhC configuration and structural parameters on the optical characteristics and working performance of bistable devices will be investigated.
