Present study was conducted to explore the effect of milking temperament on milking attributes like milk let down time, milking time, milk flow rate, milk yield, composition in relation to plasma cortisol level and reproductive performance in Sahiwal cows. The experiment was carried out on 88 lactating healthy Sahiwal cows in hot- humid (38) and winter (58) season. The milking temperament was scored and the cows were grouped as docile and restless.

A new baculovirus-based fluorescence resonance energy transfer (Bv-FRET) assay for measuringmultimerization of cell surface molecules in living cells is described. It has been demonstrated that gonadotropin-releasing hormone recep-tor (GnRH-R) was capable of forming oligomeric com-plexes in the plasma membrane under normal physiological conditions. The mouse gonadotropin-releasing hormone receptor GnRH-R was used to evaluate the efficiency and potential applications of this assay.

We havemade a comprehensive and quantitative analysis of the lipid composition of caveolae from primary rat fat cells and compared the composition of plasma membrane inside and outside caveolae. We isolated caveolae from purified plasmamembranesusingultrasonication incarbonatebuffer to disrupt the membrane, or extraction with nonionic detergent, followed by density gradient ultracentrifugation. The carbonate-isolated caveolae fraction was further immunopurified using caveolin antibodies.

Transthyretin is a tetrameric binding protein involved in the transport of thyroid hormones and in the cotransport of retinol by forming a complex in plasma with retinol-binding protein. In the present study, we report the crystal structure of a macromolecular complex, in which human transthy-retin, human holo-retinol-binding protein and a murine anti-retinol-binding protein Fab are assembled according to a 1 : 2 : 2 stoichiometry.
