This thesis aimed to explore a range of social-ecological factors in the understanding of adolescent suicide ideation. Comprising two studies, the first study examined adolescents’ differential perceptions of mother involvement and father involvement, and their association with adolescent suicide ideation and psychological well-being.

Garnet-bearing xenoliths are observed within a trachytic dome extrusion in the Hisarlıkaya region (Ankara). Chickpea wilt caused by F. oxysporum f. sp. ciceri is one of the most important seed and soil-borne disease in India. The study on association of the pathogen with chickpea seeds showed that the viable mycelium fragments, micro and macro-conidia of the pathogen were present on the seed surface of all susceptible and two resistant varieties/ germplasms in seed washing test. The pathogen was recovered from the untreated and sodium hypochlorite treated seeds of all susceptible varieties/ germplasms in the range of 10.67– 18.67 and 5.33–11.

Schistosomiasis is an endemic disease in Egypt caused by the trematode Schistosoma which has different species. c the best known form of chronic disease with a wide range of clinical manifestations. The pathogenesis of schistosomiasis is related to the host cellular immune response. This leads to granuloma formation and neo angiogenesis with subsequent periportal fibrosis manifested as portal hypertension, splenomegaly and esophageal varices. Casein kinases I (CKI) are serine/threonine protein kinases widely expressed in a range of eukaryotes including yeast, mammals and plants. They have been shown to play a role in diverse physiological events including membrane trafficking.
