Role of educational institutions

Many East Asian economies experienced rapid economic growth since the early 1960’s, with Singapore and Malaysia being two of the best performers. Various factors have contributed to this growth. They include export-orientated policies, capital investment, a market-friendly approach and an institutional regulatory framework that attracts foreign investors. Another factor is the role of human capital in the form of formal and informal education. Human capital has been researched at both the theoretical and empirical levels.

This study tries investigates the role of educational institutions to surpass the CSR for creating best human capital and also explores the significances of CSR for promoting education and various initiatives of companies in education sector as a corporate responsibility to expansion education.

Based on theoretical and practical issues, this study aims to give the best solutions as well as make further suggestions for developing and improving the policy of HE in Vietnam based on social needs. To achieve mentioned objectives, this research attempts to review literature on a policy of HE in Vietnam based on social needs, study international experiences and the current status of meeting social needs level in HE in Vietnam, as well as explore policy state that has a supportive role to ensure that the universities in Vietnam provide their educational services based on social needs.
