In this study, an RS-485 protocol for Arduino boards that operate in Master-Slave networks was developed. Network operations could be carried out independently on the main thread program, and devices in the network could react quickly to information received.

The study determines the predominant hydrogeological controls on salinity distribution and salinization/freshening, proposing conceptual models to explain the different vertical distributions of groundwater salinity at the coastline. An improved understanding of the sources of salinity and the hydrogeological controls will subsequently provide support for the future management of groundwater in the Western Port Basin, and serve as a template for how to unravel complex salinity distributions in coastal aquifers, and their relationships to palaeo- and recent geomorphological histories.

The general objectives of the study are to evaluate the status and to find out scientific basis to develop freshwater prawn culture in brackish water, in order to diversify culture systems and species, to stabilize social-economics for inhabitants, and to adapt to the issues of sea level rise and saltwater intrusion in Mekong Delta.
