The process of neural stem cell (NSC) differentiation into neurons is crucial for the development of potential cell-centered treatments for central nervous system disorders. However, predicting, identifying, and anticipating this differentiation is complex. In this study, we propose the implementation of a convolutional neural network model for the predictable recognition of NSC fate, utilizing single-cell brightfield images.

Wharton’s jelly-derived mesenchymal stem cells are highly homogeneous cells population, easily expanded, especially they can bring potential applications. However, their yield depends on the method of cells extraction conducted. Our research includes two purposes: 1/Procedure for isolating and differentiating mesenchymal stem cells from Wharton’s jelly, 2/Determining the main features of mesenchymal stem cells isolated from Wharton’s jelly.

Haematopoiesis, the differentiation of haematopoietic stem cells and progenitors into various lineages, involves complex interactions of transcription factors that modulate the expression of downstream genes and mediate proliferation and differentiation signals. Commitment of pluripotent haematopoietic stem cells to the erythroid lineage induces erythropoiesis, the production of red blood cells. This process involves a concerted progression through an erythroid burst forming unit (BFU-E), an erythroid colony forming unit (CFU-E), proerythroblast and an erythroblast....

Equilibrium studies on the acid included denaturation of stem bromelain (EC 3.4.22.32) were performed by CD spectroscopy, ¯uorescence emission spectroscopy and binding of the hydrophobic dye, 1-anilino 8-naphthalene sulfonic acid (ANS). At pH 2.0, stembromelain lacks awell de®ned tertiary structure as seen by ¯uorescence and near-UVCDspectra.Far-UVCDspectra showretentionof some native like secondary structure at pH 2.0. Human hepatitis delta (HDV) ribozyme is one of small ribozymes, such as hammerhead and hairpin ribozymes, etc. Its secondary structure shows pseudoknot structure com-posed of four stems (I to IV) and three single-stranded regions (SSrA, -B and -C). The 3D structure of 3¢-cleaved product of genomic HDV ribozyme provided extensive information about tertiary hydrogen bonding interactions between nucleotide bases, phosphate oxygens and 2¢OHs including new stem structure P1.1.

We report on a sequence-specific double-stranded DNA labelling strategy in which a stem–loop triplex forming oligonucleotide (TFO) is able to encircle its DNA target. Ligation of this TFO to either a short hairpin oligonucleotide or a long double-stranded DNA fragment leads to the for-mation of a topological complex. This process requires the hybridization of both extremities of the TFO to each other on a few base pairs. The effects of different factors on the formation of these complexes have been investi-gated. ...

Eukaryotic chromosomal DNA is densely packaged in the nucleus and organized into discrete domains of active and inactive chromatin. Gene loci that are activated during the process of cell differentiation undergo changes that result in modifications of specific histone tail residues and in loosening of chromatin structure. Theb-globin genes are expressed exclusively in eryth-roid cells.

Nanog is a transcription factor that plays key roles in the self-renewal and maintenance of pluripotency in human embryonic stem (ES) cells. Among Nanog’s 11 pseudogenes, NANOGP8 theoretically could be a retrogene, but was considered unlikely as it has not been identified in any expressed sequence tags (ESTs).

Báo cáo khoa học: Bone morphogenetic protein signaling in stem cells ) one signal, many consequences
Bone morphogenetic protein (BMP) signals play key roles throughout embryology, from the earliest patterning events, via tissue specification, through organ development and again in germ cell differentiation. While both input and the transducer molecules are rather well studied, the final outcome of a BMP signal is basically unpredictable and differs enormously between previously studied cell types.

We recently reported that intermittent hypoxia facilitated the proliferation of neural stem⁄progenitor cells (NPCs) in the subventricule zone and hip-pocampusin vivo. Here, we demonstrate that hypoxia promoted the prolif-eration of NPCsin vitro and that hypoxia-inducible factor (HIF)-1a, which is one of the key molecules in the response to hypoxia, was critical in this process.

During mammalian development, it is essential that the proper epigenetic state is established across the entire genome in each differentiated cell. To date, little is known about the mechanism for establishing epigenetic modi-fications of individual genes during the course of cellular differentiation.

The specific features of the plasticity of adult stem cells are largely unknown. Recently, we demonstrated the hepatic differentiation of human adipose tissue-derived mesenchymal stem cells (AT-MSCs). To identify the genes responsible for hepatic differentiation, we examined the gene expres-sion profiles of AT-MSC-derived hepatocytes (AT-MSC-Hepa) using several microarray methods.

A dominant negative form of p63,DNp63a, is critical for maintaining the proliferative potential of epidermal stem cells and progenitor cells. The expression ofDNp63aalso confers a selective advantage for cancer cell survival, underscoring the importance of DNp63a in both normal and neoplastic stratified epithelia.
