Bào tử chủng Trichoderma harzianum NAD101 sau khi được nuôi cấy đã được pha loãng với mật độ 107 BT/ml và thử nghiệm khả năng phòng trị nấm Corticium salmonicolor gây bệnh nấm hồng trên cây cao su (Hevea brasilensis) ngoài thực địa bằng cách phun 100ml dịch bào tử một lần duy nhất lên vết bệnh. Kết quả thí nghiệm rất khả quan khi hiệu suất phòng trị rất đạt 80% sau 15 ngày thí nghiệm và cho tới thời điểm kết thúc thí nghiệm là 30 ngày thì vẫn không thấy hiện tượng bệnh trên những cây cao su đã khỏi.

A new component of theb-1,6-glucanase (EC 3.2.1.75) multienzymatic complex secreted by Trichoderma harzianumhas been identified and fully characterized. The protein, namely BGN16.3, is the third isozyme display-ing endo-b-1,6-glucanase activity described up to now in T. harzianum CECT 2413. BGN16.3 is an acidicb-1,6-glucanase that is specifically induced by the presence of fungal cell walls in T. harzianumgrowth media.

The most strongly rhizosphere competent strains can be added to soil or seeds by any method. Once they come into contact with roots, they colonize the root surface or cortex, depending on the strain.
