Three public universities

This paper explores the self-efficacy of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) teachers at a public university in Vietnam. It focuses on three key areas of teaching: Instructional practices, classroom management, and student engagement. A quantitative approach was employed using the Teachers' Sense of Efficacy Scale (TSES) to assess self-efficacy among ten EMI teachers.

Adopting a triangulated approach, this thesis consists of three separate but related qualitative studies, the collective objectives of which are to (i) gauge current levels of concern of Australian public universities with rapid intensification of the higher education sector globally; (ii) evaluate strategies developed by universities in response to increasing competition; and (iii) develop a conceptual framework to guide competitive behaviour of universities.

The study adopted the survey research design in collecting data from three public universities that were chosen from three states to represent Southwest Nigeria namely: Oyo, Lagos and Ogun.
