Timing generation and measurements

This chapter aims at providing a research background on mobile commerce. Also, this chapter postulates the research gaps. Briefly, it is the if and how the perception of risk and security simultaneously affects continuance intention to use mobile commerce under the influence of considerations of future consequences that generates the need to conduct this study. Also, based on the research gap, this study delineates the research methodology and research scope. Regarding the research methodology, this research includes two studies: the pilot study and the main study.

This chapter is an expansion of chapter 14 from the second edition, and relates contemporary cost management and time management to the generation of customer value. As in the previous edition, cost management techniques include activity-based management, business process re-engineering, and life-cycle costing. There is a more detailed coverage of target costing. The new material on time-based management includes measures of break-even time and time-to-market, and identifying and managing time drivers.

In this study, the air-plasma generated by radio-frequency was used to treat bamboo fiber. The treatment parameters were studied to find the suitable condition. The testing on tensile strength, tensile modulus, module Weibull and elongation to break of the fiber, the measurement of contact angles and the SEM analysis showed that at the high frequency of 12 kHz, power 50 W and treatment time of 5 minutes, after air-plasma treatment the tensile strength and tensile modulus of bamboo fiber increased more than double (101.1% and 101.

Sensor used in this project is MOC 7811 from Motorola. This is a slotted coupler/interrupter device. In each revolution as the beam is interrupted, the sensor generates a positive pulse. Microcontroller will execute interrupt routine, When a pulse occurs. Interrupt routine measures the total time taken for one revolution, divides it by 120, and stores the result into another timer, Configured in auto-reload mode. Now, the timer overflows after tiny intervals of time. Each time it overflows, next stored value is called from the lookup table, and displayed....
