Transmission electron microscope

The samples were synthesized in two steps containing the photochemical reduction and galvanic replacement reaction using silver nanodecahedra as a sacrificial template to obtain hollow silver-gold alloy nanoshells. The dimension of the hollow cavities can be controlled by varying the amount of HAuCl4. The prepared Ag/Au decahedra can be applied to the SERS analysis.

Pirochromite (MgCr2O4) nanoparticles were successfully prepared in this study. During synthesis of the pirochromite nanoparticles, a sol-gel was prepared by using magnesium acetate and potassium dichromate as magnesium and chromium sources and by using stearic acid as the network.
