In this research, in an attempt to make use of the kaolin resources in Vietnam, we present a synthetic process of zeolite A via hydrothermal from kaolinite, together with the modification process of zeolite A using different metallic cations. The characteristics of the prepared zeolite LTAs such as chemical composition and crystalline structure, as well as their catalytic activity in the methanation reaction of carbon dioxide (CO2) to methane (CH4) were extensively investigated.

The results show that the cerium oxide spherical nanoparticles built from primary nanoparticles with the average size of ~5 nm, exhibited dispersion and uniform size and shapes with their average particle diameter of ~50 nm in size. With such a good morphology, CeO2 material possessed good catalytic activity for the decomposition of methylene blue (MB), in which the material was synthesized at a hydrothermal temperature of 80 oC (CeO2-80) for the best MB decomposition performance.

RNA polymerase II (Pol II) is a 12 subunit protein complex from yeast to human that is required for gene expression. Gdown1 containing Pol II [Pol II (G)] is a special form of Pol II that is catalytically inactive and heavily depends on the 30-subunit Mediator complex for its activator and basal dependent function in vitro. Here we report for the first time, the identification and the generation of a 15-subunit human Mediator complex via the novel multibac baculovirus expression system that is fully responsive to Pol II (G).

TiO2-Graphene Oxide-Hemin (TiO2/GO/Hemin) ternary composite hybrid material was prepared by the sol-gel method and used as a heterogeneous catalyst for the photocatalytic degradation of organic contaminants. The catalytic activity of GO-TiO2-Hemin was evaluated by the degradation of Rhodamine B (RhB) under the UV-visible light irradiation and in the presence of hydrogen peroxide.

The catalyst 7.5% NiO/TiO2 and seven samples of NiO/γ-Al2O3 with NiO content from 7.5% to 60% have been obtained and studied. Physico-chemical characteristics of the catalysts were determined by methods of Adsorption (BET), X-ray Diffraction (XRD), TemperatureProgrammed Reduction (TPR) and Hydrogen Pulse Titration. The catalytic properties of the obtained samples were investigated in the reaction of CO methanation at temperatures 180 – 220◦C and mole ratios hydrogen/carbon monoxide 25-100.

In this work, nanoscale bimetallic PtNi, PtCo, PtCu catalysts on carbon Vulcan XC72R as supports were synthesized by reduction method under ultrasonic irradiation. The morphology, structure and specific area of synthesized materials were characterized by X-Ray diffraction (XRD), transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The catalytic activity for oxygen reduction reaction (ORR) of PtM/C was investigated by CV and linear sweep voltammetry (LSV) under simulated fuel cell working conditions.

The sepiolite support possesses fibrous structure. X-ray diffraction analysis pointed out that the TiO2 particles are firmly distributed on fibrous sepiolite matrix. All TiO2/sepiolite samples were tested for the degradation of rhodamine B and showed a high catalytic activity. The experimental data showed that the degradation efficiency of rhodamine B is correlated with the amount of TiO2 loadings and oxidant behavior. At room temperature, the conversion of rhodamine B reaches to 99-100 % over 6.0 wt% TiO2/sepiolite catalyst.

This paper presentes the results of complex formation of Mn2+ with Lumomagnezone (Lm or H2L) and with mixed ligands Lm, HCO3 - in the systems: H2O-Mn2+-Lm (1a) H2O-Mn2+-Lm-HCO3 (2a) The formerd complexes [MnHL]+, [Mn(HL)HCO3] have been used as catalysts for the reactions of H2O2 decomposion and Lm oxidation in the systems: H2O-Mn2+-Lm H2O2 (3a); H2O-Mn2+-Lm-HCO3 - -H2O2 (4a) It has shown that the catalytic activity of the complex [Mn(HL)HCO3] is much higher than that of [MnHL] +.

The dependences of mol-fractions i of the formed complexes [Cu2+ Eni] and of the reaction rate W on concentration of ligand En were determinated. The obtained results showed that the forms and catalytic activity of complexes [Cu2+ Eni] were similar to that of metal-polymer AN-221.

Nanostructured Au-Ceria has been known as a promising catalyst for the low-temperature water-gas shisft reaction. At the present, in order to increase octan number the izomerization of hydrocarbon has been studied in the world. Amongs metals and metal oxides on carriers, Pt on the alumina carrier is used most widely owing to the advantages such as thermal stability, high activity and high selectivity etc. The conversion and selectivity of the izomerization depend on the catalysts (the composition of the catalysts, the structure of the carriers, the distribution of metal, the acidity, the catalytic activity of the catalysts) and the reaction condition (temperature, volume flow, carrier gases ...).

Investigations of kinetics of p-xylene deep oxidation on CuO/ -Al2O3 and CuO/ZSM-5 have been carried out. Specific surface area and pore size of catalyst samples as well as metallic state characteristics and catalytic properties of copper have been established. Catalyst CuO/ZSM-5 has been found to be more active than the first one, but it expressed lower stability because of less stable active form of Cu2+ on zeolite surface.

In the Pt/-Al2O3 catalysts, the distribution of uniform, small particle-size Pt metal on the carrier with high surface area of metal will result in high catalytic activities and will economize noble metals. The distribution of metal depends on the technology of preparation and postpreparation. The influences of the impregnating, drying, calcining and reducing on the distribution of metal have been studied using by physic methods, scan electronic microscope (SEM), transmission electronic microscope (TEM), and the hydrogen distribution has been measured by the method of hydrogen absorption.

Catalytic oxidation of m-xylene was carried out over the copper oxide catalyst loaded on SiO2 300 m2/g. The various techniques were used to characterize the catalysts x-ray diffraction, TPRH2, N2 adsorption-desorption, scanning electron microscopy (SEM), tranmission electron microscopy (TEM) and CO pulse chemisorptions. The results indicate that the impregnated solution concentration exerts an influence on the catalytic activity.
