Problem of motivating
-
The research design adopted to address this problem utilised mixed data collection methodologies. In order to determine what was happening in the industry as a whole, a specially designed survey was conducted utilising both web-based and traditional paper-based instruments. This provided valuable quantitative data about the rate of uptake, types of companies and so on. To complement this, a focus group of selected representatives within the industry was conducted to delve more deeply into motivations behind the decision to adopt the technology and the perceived benefits derived from it.

Research subjects of the thesis are ontology, inconsistent knowledge in ontologies and methods of processing inconsistent knowledge in ontologies. By analyzing research motivations, we address objectives of research for processing inconsistent in ontologies by the two tasks: querying andintegrating. In particularly, we restrict the objectives of research by three problems following: determine meaningful result for querying inconsistent ontology, resolving conflict of concept level in ontology integration, esolving conflict of axiom level in ontology integration.

Organization scholars have long acknowledged that control processes are integral to the way in which organizations function. While control theory research spans many decades and draws on several rich traditions, theoretical limitations have kept it from generating consistent and interpretable empirical findings and from reaching consensus concerning the nature of key relationships.

Steiner symmetrization, one of the simplest and most powerful symmetrization processes ever introduced in analysis, is a classical and very well-known device, which has seen a number of remarkable applications to problems of geometric and functional nature. Its importance stems from the fact that, besides preserving Lebesgue measure, it acts monotonically on several geometric and analytic quantities associated with subsets of Rn. Among these, perimeter certainly holds a prominent position.

EIGENSTRUCTURE OF NONSELFADJOINT COMPLEX DISCRETE VECTOR STURM-LIOUVILLE PROBLEMS ´ RAFAEL J. VILLANUEVA AND LUCAS JODAR Received 15 March 2004 and in revised form 5 June 2004 We present a study of complex discrete vector Sturm-Liouville problems, where coefficients of the difference equation are complex numbers and the strongly coupled boundary conditions are nonselfadjoint. Moreover, eigenstructure, orthogonality, and eigenfunctions expansion are studied. Finally, an example is given. 1.
