This study explores Vietnamese teachers' perceptions and practices of gamification in teaching English to first-year English majors at Thang Long University. The goals of the research are to find out the impacts of gamification on EFL students' learning and some challenges when applying the approach.

This study adopted a qualitative research method with a case study approach. First, the researcher asked the participant teacher to provide video recordings. Afterwards, data was gathered from a semi-structured interview with open-ended questions with the teacher participant and the teacher's self-reflection on her practice of code-switching between L1 and L2 in the recorded lessons.

This paper explores the self-efficacy of English as a Medium of Instruction (EMI) teachers at a public university in Vietnam. It focuses on three key areas of teaching: Instructional practices, classroom management, and student engagement. This study utilized a quantitative approach with a survey questionnaire. The questionnaire, which was modified from the Basic Psychological Need Satisfaction and Frustration Scale (BPNSNF) by Van Der Kaap-Deeder et al.
