  • In addition, we also show that our present solutions are valid for the problems of indentation by a rigid punch on an elastic half-space through a proper replacement of the contact radius and the corresponding material constant. Numerical results are provided to demonstrate the accuracy, applicability, and versatility of the developed solutions.

  • The dynamic analysis is a necessity in the design, manufacturing and maintenance of structures. The analytic solutions are not available for most practical cases and the Finite Element Method (FEM) is not reliable due to the joint problem, unclear loading, material properties and numerical error. In this paper, we present a way to find modes shape of 3D Frame by FEM program using Matlab.

  • In the course of current research the procedure of obtaining of the piecewise linear vibration systems time and frequency responses have been developed. The method is partly analytical and partly numerical and is based on combining of linear solutions of different sections in a cycle of motion. In a row with the method of obtaining of the exact steady state time and frequency response, also it is provided sensitivity analysis of the vibration isolator.

  • This paper presents a numerical solution for vibration analysis of cantilevered non-uniform trapezoidal thick plates. Based on the first shear deformation theory, kinetic and strain energies of the plate are derived and using Hamilton's principle, governing equations and boundary conditions are derived.

  • An analytical and numerical solution is developed for a transient heat conduction equation in which a plane slab is heated by a bimodal distribution beam over the upper surface. In laser heat treatment of steel few methods are used to produce a wider and nearly uniform average irradiance profile.

  • This paper presents an improved method based on the jacobian matrix and the error feedback. By using this method, the accuracy of the solution of inverse kinematics for the vehicle-manipulator system is improved. In addition, one of the advantages of a redundant system is exploited to avoid impact on joint limitations. Numerical simulations in software Matlab are carried out to verify the efficiencies of the proposed method.

  • In the paper we present a method for finding the weight vector called stencil with the help of RBF interpolation. This stencil is the foundation for constructing meshless finite difference scheme for boundary value problems. The results of numerical experiments show that the numerical solution obtained by RBF-FD with the stencils generated by Gauss RBF interpolation is much more accurate then the solution obtained by FEM.

  • In this paper, finite difference schemes are proposed to approximate solutions of stochastic advection-diffusion equations. We used central-difference formula of third-order to approximate spatial derivatives. The stability, consistency and convergence of the scheme are analysed and established. A numerical result is also given to demonstrate the computational efficiency of the stochastic schemes.

  • ONE PARAMETER FAMILY OF LINEAR DIFFERENCE EQUATIONS AND THE STABILITY PROBLEM FOR THE NUMERICAL SOLUTION OF ODEs L. ACETO, R. PANDOLFI, AND D. TRIGIANTE Received 21 July 2004; Accepted 4 October 2004 The study of the stability properties of numerical methods leads to considering linear difference equations depending on a complex parameter q. Essentially, the associated characteristic polynomial must have constant type for q ∈ C− . Usually such request is proved with the help of computers.

  • – THE GRE QUANTITATIVE SECTION – Example of solving an equation: 3x + 5 = 20 –5 = –5 3x = 15 3x 3 = 3 x=5 15 Cross Multiplying You can solve an equation that sets one fraction equal to another by cross multiplication. Cross multiplication involves setting the products of opposite pairs of numerators and denominators equal. Example: x 6 = x + 10 12 becomes 12x = (x) + 6(10) 12x = 6x + 60 12x – 6x = 6x – 6x + 60 6x = 60 6x 60 6 = 6 x = 10 Checking Solutions To check a solution, substitute the number equal to the variable in the original...

  • SCIT (subcutaneous immunotherapy) injection of allergens has been practiced for almost 100 years. SLIT (sublingual immunotherapy) is a method of allergy treatment using allergen solution as drops deposited under the tongue and holding it there for a few minutes before swallowing. Since 1969 SLIT was used for treating foods allergy and since 1970 for treating inhalants allergens. In 1998 the World Health Organization concluded that SLIT was a viable alternative to the injections. After numerous control trials SLIT is gaining support from Allergists and Otolaryngologists. ...

  • Introduction: Hypochlorite a (HClO) is a weak acid, which exerts oxidative action; it is being widely used in the salt forms for bleaching and other purposes. Sodium hypochlorite (NaClO) aqueous solution is usually used as a disinfectant, bleaching agent, fungicide and ink eraser, and is thus usually included in detergents for laundry. Calcium hypochlorite [Ca(ClO)2, bleaching powder] is also used as a bleaching agent and disinfectant.
