Bài viết trình bày Imatinib mesylate (IM) là thuốc ức chế tyrosin kinase (tyrosine kinase inhibitors-TKIs) thế hệ đầu tiên đã chứng minh được hiệu quả điều trị bệnh bạch cầu mạn dòng tủy (BCMDT). Tuy nhiên, khoảng 27% người bệnh (NB) đã xuất hiện đề kháng với IM sau một thời gian sử dụng. Tỷ lệ NB không dung nạp IM phải ngưng thuốc mặc dù có thấp hơn nhưng cũng gây một khó khăn không nhỏ trong quá trình điều trị.
