The efficient synthesis of 12-substituted-3,4,4a,5,12,12a-hexahydrobenzo[b]acridine-1,6,11(2H)-triones starting from 2-amino-1,4-naphthoquinone, 1,3-cyclohexanedione, and different (hetero)aromatic aldehydes was developed. These reactions were carried out in acetic acid under microwave irradiation in the presence of p-toluenesulfonic acid as catalyst. The structure of the newly synthesized compounds were confirmed employing spectroscopic data as well as elemental analysis. The plausible mechanism of these three-component domino reactions was also described.

This article, we present a thorough and straightforward hydrothermal method towards the production of reduced graphene oxide templated MIL-53(Fe) hybrids RGO@MIL-53(Fe). The structural characteristics of created hybrids were identified by using BET, FESEM, powder X-ray diffraction, and FTIR techniques. Methylene blue (MB) dye (a model water pollutant) was used to evaluate H2O2-assisted photo-catalytic efficiency of RGO@MIL-53(Fe).

This purpose of this work was to investigate the patient radiation doses and image quality of a Philips/Agfa computed radiographic (CR) system and a Philips indirect-capture digital radiographic (DR) system in a paediatric setting. A CDRAD digital radiographic contrast-detail phantom was used to assess radiographic image quality. Perspex slabs of three different thicknesses (6, 11 and 16 cm) were used to simulate paediatric patients of three arbitrary ages.

In the multi-dimensional model of data warehouses, data drawn from multiple sources is organized into fact tables and dimension tables. Data cubes pre-compute the aggregations of measurements along combinations of dimensions to speed up the processing of Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) queries. When the underlying fact tables or dimension tables change over time, data cubes need to be incrementally maintained to reflect these changes. This study focuses on experimental testing and subsequent numerical analysis of impacted and pre-loaded composite coupons and bonded composite scarf joints under varying impact conditions. A methodology will be developed for the numerical modelling of preloaded impact tests to enable capture of critical failure modes and ultimate failure.
